Server
The MACH® server
The server is the brains behind the MACH® room automation system. It communicates with each room controller or access controller using a proprietary encrypted protocol over twisted pair cabling.
The server can run either a Linux or Microsoft operating system and supports up to 2,000 room controllers configured in groups of up to 255 rooms. Up to 8 groups of controllers can be connected to one server. Multiple servers can be clustered to provide extended capacity and/or greater fault tolerance.
Inbuilt UPS protection or external UPS units can be provided and are highly recommended to provide added protection.
The server hardware can be sited anywhere within the controlled building.
