
Planning for Growth
New London Architecture (NLA) will be running a conference entitled “London’s Hotels: Planning for Growth” on 18th February 2010.
As the hotel industry is experiencing a period of significant growth and investment as London gears up to become Olympic host city. Visitor services play a vital role in London’s economy and provide significant regenerative impacts, as reflected in the call for 40,000 net additional hotel bedrooms by 2031 in the Mayor’s London Plan.
This morning conference will examine the strategic policy for visitor accommodation in the capital, look at the process of attracting hotel investment and examine some of the best recent and upcoming examples of hotel design.
London’s deputy mayor, Sir Simon Milton, will give the keynote address at the New London Architecture (NLA) conference.
