Dialight annouced on the 9th February that they have released their new 17,000 lumen (170w) LED High Bay light. This is really impressive, not only because it breaks the 100 lumen per watt ‘barrier’, but also because it’s not from some ‘cheap foreign import’ manufacturer who manage great lighting levels by running their LED chips at 120% (yes, they’re bright – for a ’short’ while) – this is from a company who’ve been at the forefront of real LED lights for 30 years. If you want to see what proper LED lights for factories and warehouses look like have a gander at this http://www.dialight.com/News/Details/17k_lumen_led_high_bay_press_release – then come and talk to us at Interior Control Ltd – a value added reseller for Dialight. SAVE MONEY, SAVE CARBON, SAVE THE PLANET! These lights are guaranteed for 5 years, have an LM80 rating (won’t be less than 80% of their original brightness for at least 60,000 hours!) and are British made (and British certified and tested) We also do ATEX versions of many of our lights.

According to an article that I just read – which you can read here, LED Lights are expected to gain popularity during 2012. That’s something we are noticing, and have been for some time now. In 2010 LED Lighting for factories and warehouses weren’t that high on the agenda for many. However in 2011 our customer base at Interior Control lept dramatically. Key factors for many warehouse managers is the total reduction in maintenance which LED Lights bring. If you consider that most of our clients have 400W metal halide (MH) or high pressure sodium (HPS) (which typically require around 480w including their drivers) – these can now be replaced with a 150w LED High Bay – which; a) runs at about 140w (a 66% saving), b) requires NO MAINTENANCE at all during its life (which in many cases will be 20 years or more), c) produces much less heat (if you have a refrigerated warehouse you’ll know what a problem that is!), d) contains no mercury/glass or lead (WEEE!) and e) is a much cleaner and safer light to work in. There are now so many reasons to buy good quality LED High Bay lights that we are receiving new customers every day. Also, and I find this quite funny sometimes – we get a lot of people phoning up because they bought cheap LED lights from outside the UK and have realised that after 6-12 months they have ‘little red dots’ up in the roof. Yeah – if you drive an LED at 110% and don’t know how to cool it properly you will get that. Our lights are manufactured by a £100m+ UK PLC and are guaranteed for 5 years. Come and have a look at our products – click here

November 10th 2011, London UK. March Foods Ltd has just won the award for ‘Best Industrial Lighting project of the year’ at LUX Live! Well done them. We are very proud here at Interior Control Ltd as they’re one of our customers. We worked with them to look at a whole range of solutions that would assist them to achieve their targets for energy reduction. Over many months we measured electricity usage by implementing distribution level board monitoring, working with them to understand their usage – then provided the Dialight LED High Bay lights which cap off the project. They saved over 72% of their lighting bill! If you’re interested in how this forward thinking large food warehouse has reduced their bills – just give us a call or check out the website…. www.interiocontrol.co.uk

Interior Control customer March Foods Ltd, Cambridgeshire has been shortlisted at LUX Live for an awards as Industrial Project of the Year. This category which aims to find the most outstanding low-energy refurbishment in industrial buildings is a highly prestigious award and we are proud to have provided the LED High Bay lights which form the basis of their project. Good luck! Come and see Interior Control at the show, we’ll be with Dialight on the stand and Richard Gill of Dialight is giving a talk at 2:30pm on the Thursday all about the March Foods project and how others can benefit from dramatically reduced electricity and maintenance bills in their factory and warehouse environments.
