Occupancy and Light sensors (PIR and LUX)

Automatic switching of our LED lights

As our LED Lights are instant-on, many of our clients take the opportunity to further reduce their energy costs by fitting PIR and/or LUX sensors. LED industrial lighting can be easily and repeatedly switched without affecting performance or product life. This makes them ideal for occupancy control where a detector senses movement in a zone (such as a warehouse asile) and switches the lights on instantly. If nobody is in the zone, the lights are switched off.

In addition many PIR sensors also incorporate light level switching. This enables the lights to be switched on and off according to the ambient light level (LUX sensors). So, for example, if the building has sky lights the PIR sensors can switch the lights off automatically when the amount of daylight reaches a set level and to switch the lights back on again when the ambient light level falls.

These PIR and LUX sensors are matched to our LED lights and are our recommendation for the best operation and durability of your investment. Whilst other PIR/LUX sensors may work, these have been trialed and matched to our lights.
